The DEWALT DWE6423K 5 in. Variable Speed Random Orbit Sander is ideal for sanding applications on wood, metal and plastic. This sander features a 3 Amp motor that spins the pad at 8,000 to 12,000 OPM. Shorter height allows the user to get closer to work piece for sanding.

- Improved dust-sealed switch to protect against dust ingestion for longer switch life

- Dust port is designed to fit directly to the DWV010 or DWV012 dust collectors
- To attach dust port to other vacuum systems with 1-1/4 in. hoses, use DWV9000 universal quick connector

Drill worked great! Built well! Only issue I had after using it on a big molding/sanding project, was either due to applying a little more force pushing against the molding or after a long time of using the sander all at one time, was cleaning off the excess felt/backing on the bottom sanding pad of the sander, from the sanding disc! Otherwise the sanding discs fall off, and/or won’t stay on as long next time! Other than that, saves time, does a great job!

I have used this sander just 1 time but was very impressed with it. Out of the box all you have to do is attach the filter which is very easy to do then put a sanding disk on and you are ready to go. Quality of sander is very good and the variable speed is a plus. Sanding disk stays firmly attached to the pad also. Overall this sander did a great job and made short work of the task.

I’ve had this sander for over a year now and it has served me well! It is powerful and the adjustable speed is a nice feature for more delicate projects. The dust collection is pretty standard. I wish it came with an adapter that fit standard size shop vac hoses. Overall awesome little product!

I just got this new for home projects and love it. It is very quiet and comfortable to use. The vacuum option works well, the unit feels sturdy and well built. I love the power cord feels like you can pull a car with it. I used in different speeds and love that option if you can get this one instead of the single speed spend the money. I own many dewalt tools and like this one I am glad I purchased and is now part of the family.

This was purchased mainly for sanding bottom paint from a sailboat. it is light enough to hold overhead and small enough to get into odd angles (generally). Found it easy to figure out. one issue is with the bag – it is way to small, so I jury rigged a shop vac hose for somewhat dustless sanding. not perfect as the diameter of the vacuum hose is smaller than that the bag opening. Standardizing or offering a sleeve would be a great improvement.

I received this sander last year as a gift. It’s the only sander I have needed. I’ve refinished multiple prices of furniture and it has done a fantastic job. The variable speeds have come in handy when trying to remove old finishes. I’ve even lent this to my mother-in-law and she had no problem operating it. The only thing I wish was that the adapter to a standard shop vacuum was only one piece not 2. All in all it’s a great sander and I don’t know what more I could ask.

I purchased two of these Sanders. They both worked well, however, one of the Sanders just seem to have burned out, or something happened. It just stopped working in the middle of sanding some Lumber. I took it back to Home Depot, got an exchange for a new one. Everything went smooth as can be. Home Depot really stands up behind their product. I would definitely recommend them in the future, and I will definitely be buying more tools for them as well. Thank you. Keep up the good job.

I purchased the Dewalt DWE6423K Model because the info tag in my Home Depot said that it came with the vacuum adapter included in the kit. When I got home and opened the box, I took inventory of the parts included in the box, and no vacuum adapter.I know that Dewalt makes good products, but I am seriously thinking about returning just because Home Depot did not advertise this truthfully.Decision made, I was lied to, so back it goes.
