The DEWALT DWE6423K 5 in. Variable Speed Random Orbit Sander is ideal for sanding applications on wood, metal and plastic. This sander features a 3 Amp motor that spins the pad at 8,000 to 12,000 OPM. Shorter height allows the user to get closer to work piece for sanding.

- Separate counterweight design reduces vibration for improved comfort
- Improved dust-sealed switch to protect against dust ingestion for longer switch life
- Improved dust collection and interfacing with our vacuum locking system
- Dust bag has 1-hand locking system
- Hook and loop paper retention
- Dust port is designed to fit directly to the DWV010 or DWV012 dust collectors
- To attach dust port to other vacuum systems with 1-1/4 in. hoses, use DWV9000 universal quick connector

Excellent product. Hours of sanding and still running flawlessly. Random orbital way better than old orbital (pad or sheet sander) in my opinion. Yes you have to buy special round sanding “disks” and can’t use just regular sheets of sand paper like a pad sander, but the randomness leaves a much better finish with less effort. The only time I would even think about going back to pad sander is to get into a corner.

So I origianlly bought a belt sander and within the first couple of hours it broke 6 belts on me..expensive and the paper kept drifting on me…I took it back and got this sander and what a difference, much more control over what you are doing and it has all kinds of grit sizes from 40 to 400. and has 6 different speeds, I was able to do so much more sanding and not mess with that belt sander. Very pleased.
