I’ve owned it for about a year now and I gotta say you really can’t get a better gun in the price range. I build sheds 5 days a week and sometimes even 7 and use it everyday without hesitation. To be honest I’ve abused it and it is still going strong. I use it as a hammer sometimes, most times I forget to drain my compressor so it’s always got water running through it, and I don’t ever oil it and it never sticks or anything. Only problems I have with it is it won’t shoot hot galvanized nails something about them they come out sideways. And every once in a while if I hit a nail under something it’ll jam up the head under the pin but it’s always an easy fix. I’ve had other guys come work with me and try my gun and leave and go buy one because they love it too! So overall great nailer and I’d recommend it to anybody!

Solidly built — have had no issues with jamming, etc. I’m taking one star off because the nails are hard to come buy — HD should stock them in store.

Bought this tool to help build some stairs and frame in a storage room in my barn. The nail gun performed flawlessly and cut my work time by more than half. Almost all my power tools are DeWalt and I have never regretted a single purchase.

I’ve used this framer for a while now and the “depth-of-drive” adjuster is hard to use on the fly. Not for quick adjusting. Otherwise the tool is what I expected: average.

Excellent, easy to use. 700 square foot floor and only one jamb which took less then five minutes to clear.

To begin with, it just looks cool! The nailer is lighter than expected and easy to handle. I like the 28-degree angle. Loading the nailer was easy enough. The nails insert through the top of the nail guide. There is a control on the housing that allows for repetitive nailing. The nailer also features an adjustable depth control. The tool DID NOT come with an air connection. If you plan on using a quick connector you may need to purchase an adapter (reducer) as well as a male quick connect fitting. Once adapted and powered up, I tried out my new DeWalt 28 Degree Framing Nailer on a decking project and was more than impressed. This nailer is built to last and has all of the features that I need. I’m satisfied and I would have no problem recommending purchase of one or more of these to a friend.

Purchased this with the rigid pancake 6 gal electric compressor. Gun works well so far, been using for about a week so far with no issues. Saves a lot of time compared to hand hammering!

As my other DeWalt tools, I’m not unhappy with this nailer. It’s powerful, rugged and easy to use. What a time saver when doing big projects, like framing in a house, installing sub-flooring or any job that requires a lot of hammering. It has a large capacity, and can use a variety of nail sizes. No carpenter should be without this time and energy-saving tool.

This nailer has been great to use so far. Although plenty sturdy in its build it is well balanced without being overly heavy, helping to limit user fatigue. I have not experienced any misfires as far as nails getting stuck or not firing. The kickback however is rapid so make sure that when you pull the trigger you simply “flick” it quickly. If you hold the trigger down you will more than likely fire an additional nail when the tool recoils back onto the project surface. Unless you are well versed with other nailers, do yourself (and your project) a favor by practicing on some scrap wood first. Alternatively, the serial fire option can allow you to work quickly by keeping the trigger depressed and “bumping” the nose of the tool along..the reliability of this technique will depend both on the air supply and your technique. The only negative I have is minor. The nailer requires a few drops of pneumatic tool oil into its air inlet prior to each user (or every five hours of prolonged use) but a bottle is not included…you can find it at The Home Depot for a few dollars. Also the intake is 3/8″ meaning that you will need an adapter/reducer to 1/4″ and connecting plug for another few dollars. Total should be less than $10 for everything but still annoying if you have to run back to the store.Overall I am very very pleased with this high quality reliable nailer.
