I like the fact the nailer will take 2” pins. Most brands allow 1 3/8”. Nice for trim work requiring deeper pining.

The shipping of this product was terrible, it took two weeks to get there and was missing a nail gun when it came in.

There is a heavy belt or holster clip for ease of freeing your hands when setting up the job. This keeps the tool near you and not sitting on or in the way. There is an extra tip/material guard attached right to the tool. I found the oil free operation a great asset for keeping the wood surfaces clean. I have had oil spray interfere with the staining and finishing of past projects. The dual safety trigger at first I thought it would be a problem but it feels natural and was a non issue to get used to. Overall I really like the weight and quality feel of the tool in my hand

Excellent tool, BUT CAUTION, this double trigger setup is OK, but CAUTION – once that SAFETY trigger is depressed, that gun is ready to fire, SO do NOT hold that safety trigger until you have the gun in position.I had an awkward positioning to do, and i was lining up the gun, with left hand, and holding wood with right hand, about 3 inches from gun. I had started to hold the safety trigger, and then accidentally bumped the FIRING trigger befoore i had the gun in position, and it fired a nail , with my finger being in the way !Anyway, caution. now back to the gun. It is REALLY accurate, and the head design is part of this. The yellow firing cushion is marked at CENTER, on ALL SIDES, so you know where the nail is going to fire. if you have it lined up perpendicular to the wood, it shoots clean shots, and out of 50 shots in to some 1/4 inch subflooring (making shelves for nuts and bolts, some small 3 x 4 inch shelf pieces), there was no angling of teh nails, none had to be removed. This is great for gluing and positioning !The gun is lightweight. what I NEED is a lighter air hose (small narrower diameter stub of hose, to connect the gun to the main air hose, which would allow for easier positioning, rather than fighting the hose)it LOADS easily also.OVERALL it is an excellent gun. re: the safety trigger, it is OK, i don’t know what would be a better design, because having the head of gun not have to be depressed against wood piece to trigger firing is a nice feature (easier to position without spring loaded resistance, for such fine gauge pins)

Great tool – the range of fasteners is significantly improved with this model pin nailer.

This pin nailer seems to operate well. I ran about 50 nails into red oak without any misfires, denting or damage to the wood surface.

In my years of carpentry work I’ve owned virtually every brand of pin nailer from the cheapo harbor freight to the battery operated Hitachis. This Dewalt pin nailer has won me over. In the 3 months ive used it (daily), it has not jammed once. Every other brand has jammed at least once a day. Add the fact that it shoots 2” pins effortlessly and its just an easy choice for me. It’s heavy and stout. The only gripe i have is that the pin magazine stops the gun from functioning when the magazine is low (like 5 pins) instead of stopping at 0.

I received my pin nailer last week and have been able to put together some finished trim this nailer worked smooth and has not jammed on me after a few box of nails. I like the sky hook feature it is a large hook but well hidden.

This is a great nailer for natural or stained wood projects. It has an easy adjust depth setting as well as an easy release for jams, that I have not had to use yet after 600+ nails. It uses 5/8 to 2 inch pin nails, I was able to get it to shoot 1/2 inch nails with no issues but I don’t recommend doing it often. The 23G nails do minimal damage to the wood so minimal filler if any will be needed. There are no nail heads so keep in mind your application, you may need to angle your nails more often. The one thing that was a little off putting to me was the trigger safety, I’m more accustomed to the bump safety. This is a solid nailer and highly recommend this to anyone doing natural wood finishes.

The nailer worked very well for crown molding using the 2 in nails.

There is no other pin nailer that comes close to this gun. It works flawlessly. It has the quick release to clear jams but you will never need to use it other then for cleaning. It accepts more pin lengths then any other gun. You just can’t beat it. In my opinion dewalt is the top of the line and you can’t go wrong choosing any dewalt products. I look forward to to seeing new products weekly
