I use this daily as a professional trimmer. Some minor flaws. First, the pencil sharpener is a cool bonus feature, unfortunately it is too small for a construction pencil. Not talking about the carpenters pencil.Second flaw is that when I set trim, i have to constantly go back and set nails. This is going through MDF trim that is soft. Does the same on wood trim. Adjusting the depth really does not work to fix the issue. However when it comes to wood crown, it’s awesome but MDF crown, I do have to adjust the depth to the most shallow setting or else the nails will shoot right through the MDF. Even that setting is a bit iffy. Because I put trim up after the drywall’s been sanded, their is a lot of drywall dust that gets blown around and makes the spring loaded loading mechanism to not slide properly to push the nails forward. I carry a can of WD-40 in my bag to spray the slide down after cleaning it and that seems to help.Another issue is that I hang it from my DeWalt tool bag when I am using it, sometimes it will catch on the slide and release it, allowing it to slide past the nails. This is frustrating sometimes when your in a hurry and you realize after popping a few nails in, that nothing actually came out.The precision point is great but it also has it’s flaws as it will hang up on the material occasionally or get stuck so that you can no longer use the multi-shot feature. When I originally wanted to purchase this nailer, all the descriptions and pictures said or showed it had a swivel air connection. When I bought the nailer it did not have one but a standard straight fitting. I had to go purchase the swivel fitting and that was a great purchase. Just disappointed it did not already have it on the nailer.Overall, I do like my nailer and I would purchase again but I hope at that time, DeWalt will fix the issues and have a better quality version.

This was my first finish nailer from Dewalt. I’m very impressed so far. Very easy to adjust nail depth and easy to load. I needed a nailer that would allow for 2 1/2 ” nails and this has done exactly what i needed it to! Handy pencil sharpener built right in!
