Best Snap-Off Knife I have ever used. Sturdy, heavy gauge metal sleeve allows for quick and secure snap-off of tip. Wide blade and strong grip. Slide holds the blade securely in place while cutting. I bought it to score two-inch thick foam insulation board and discovered it was sturdy enough and could extend long enough to make a clean cut all the way through the board.

The knife was well crafted and solid. I needed to use the blade extended out and unlike other brands of snap-off knives, this one was sturdy and able to cut 3 1/2 inches without issues.

Usually I’m cutting 1 in hard foam insulation to insulate ATM kiosks. I used to use an olfa cutter & blade however on a construction site I saw a guy using this and he swore that the blade last longer as well as it can take more abuse without snapping the blade, after using this bigger cutter and blade my hats off the DeWalt it really is a more durable at least for me in a warehouse setting.

Well worth it. Tired of those old style solid body utility knives and those pocket utility knives. Think about it. You really only use the tip of the blade and they dull out so quick. Then you have to manually change the blade. The dewalt, just snap the tip off and your back in business.
