Look this is easy to figure out how to use. Slide the blade all the way out and then push the release button. You don’t have to take the knife apart, anyone posting something like that is clueless. Compared to the many other knifes I have used, is is the best and most comfortable to use.

Very simple to use. And change blades out. side lever depress and slide in new blades. Blade storage just push the yellow button on back and it swings down. Love it. The retract it the only problem I had. Going to try a dab of grease others have suggested. No rocket science here just simple well made knife. Directions could help those challenged at using tools.

The blades are terrific. Cut great and last longer than most brands. I do wish dewalt would add something to make it easier to get each blade out.

I purchased this knife before I read the reviews. The initial blade replacement was a learning curve, but with some finesse, subsequent changes have worked like a charm. It served me well for a vinyl floor installation, and I expect it to last a long while. Perhaps not a first choice for a utility knife, but you can make it work if it’s all you have.
