I have used many of dewalt’s products and I like their tools. The packaging of these blades is ridiculous I looked at it for 10 minutes and still couldn’t figure out how to open the darn thing. I ended up breaking it with a hammer and now the blades have to be stored loosely which is not ideal. Sometimes stuff can be over designed, it needs to be fixed. Come on dewalt.

I’m a tradesman and I like a sharp knife. I change my blades out sometimes twice a day. Now that I have these carbide blades they last noticeably longer. I can go almost a week on a blade and still be happy with it. I’m never going back to regular blades.

I haven’t used these for long, but after a day of marathon box cutting and other razor-related tasks, I can already say these blades are better than the cheap ones I’ve been using. Normally there’d be a noticeable dullness after that much use, but so far, the DeWalt Carbide blade I started with is cutting the same as when I started. Awesome. Glad I discovered these.

Very good carbide blades, cut up cartboard boxes like butter, just be careful when handling the utility knife, always cut the objects away from your body and clear of any bystanders. Wear good quality cut resistance gloves.

I saw some review where someone smashed the dispenser with a hammer to get the blades out. I hope he’s not a contractor because problem solving is one of the key skills a good contractor requires. With a little patience and a simple examination of the dispenser he would’ve seen that the yellow bottom is a lever that swings out to dispense a single blade. Smashing something with a hammer because you can’t figure it out is very juvenile. Also, the dispenser has a slot at the top to dispose of used blades. The blades themselves are long lasting a very durable, they last longer than Irwin heavy duty blades that I normally use. They will wear out eventually though like most blades after heavy use.

Extremely sharp. And stays sharp. Used to use a different blade on every job (I work on pool tables) I’ve used the same blade for three days now and it’s still sharp. ( 3-4 jobs a day.)

Maybe not the best all around blade, i noticed my first blade was chipping away only after opening a few cardboard boxes. That being said, it continues to be sharp enough for my purposes so far, but i would only use these blades in the future if i were making repeated cuts on a specific and tough material. Otherwise the conventional steel blades are the best option for my use.
