Carbide blades are the way to go. There is a big difference between carbide and non carbide. I saw Matt Risinger talk about these in December 2018 and I agree with his opinion on them. They are worth the money. Be sure you are getting carbide not carbide- iron.

These blades hold up much better than most. The cheaper ones dull with just a few cuts on cardboard-these retain their edge much much longer. So in the end which ones are really cheaper? I’ll take these every time.

This was an excellent buy…. with as many blade as I go through having the ability to buy a larger quantity saves me a lot of money.

Very good carbide blades, cut up cartboard boxes like butter, just be careful when handling the utility knife, always cut the objects away from your body and clear of any bystanders. Wear good quality cut resistance gloves.

I haven’t used these for long, but after a day of marathon box cutting and other razor-related tasks, I can already say these blades are better than the cheap ones I’ve been using. Normally there’d be a noticeable dullness after that much use, but so far, the DeWalt Carbide blade I started with is cutting the same as when I started. Awesome. Glad I discovered these.

Lasts much longer than standard blades on drywall and general use. Worth the price for me.

They seem to hold an edge longer than others I have used. The dispensing I really nice and the compartment for used blades is a good thing

I don’t think the “carbide edge” is a significant improvement over other brands but the packaging is way above all the rest. So far it’s the easiest method I’ve seen. The simplicity of getting a fresh blade via the swing out door is why I buy these blades. I’ve tried most all the HD offerings and this is decidedly the best all around choice.

These blades are good enough for me to take the time to write this. Each side of a blade out lasts 5 of the Horror Fraught blades I used before. I use them mostly for braking down card board.
