The DEWALT Ergo Aviation snip was designed with a reduced handle span, providing lower level of muscle effort required while cutting tough materials. This tool is traditionally used for cutting aluminum, vinyl siding, screening, cardboard, leather, copper and 18-Gauge to 22-Gauge sheet metal. The snip’s serrated cutting edge prevent materials from slipping during use and the slip-resistant, bi-material cushion grip ensures a firm, comfortable grip.
- 15% less muscle exertion, easier cutting
- More cuts, less effort
- Serrated blade, clean finish
- US ergonomic performance certification
- Improved external latch design
- Flush mount hardware
- Forged chrome vanadium steel

Love the tool it is well made to work for the handyman or the professional. Highly recommend Dawalt tools a little more expensive but worth it.

High quality snips. I used them to cut PVC roofing tiles and it left a nice clean edge.

It’s nice that these are made of forged steel, which means sharper edges and a longer life. It’s always good to get your maximum worth out of a tool. The lanyard hole in the back of the top handle is quite hefty. -Did I mention these things are SHARP? I cut through what I believe was 32 gauge or thicker standard duct metal, and they went through with minimal effort, though these are advertised to work up to 22 or even 18 gauge metal. However, If I had to cut something that thick, I would simply use a cut-off wheel. Now, I’m not sure how DeWalt engineered these, but the reduction in squeezing pressure is magnificent! The ergonomic handles only add to how comfortable these are to work with. If I had to cut all day with these and were a pole-builder or metal worker, I certainly wouldn’t overlook them.

Perfect purchase! Instead of having to buy left angle or right angle I bought just these and cut a ton of wire screens into different patterns and they are still sharp and cut perfect! Two thumbs up!

I have used them very little. This will only be an every once in a while tool for me. They are comfy to grip and the lock is well placed for easy release. They seem a good quality and should last me quite a while.

I purchased this piece of equipment to use to cut a fence I was installing for a dog run. This equipment is difficult to use at times. You have to apply a ton of force to cut 12 guage wire. I am a strong man and I had to use 2 hands at certain periods to cut the wire. Once I did cut the wire it was a clean smooth cut and it works great. Overall it is a good tool to cut wire. You just need to apply a lot of force at times.
