The DEWALT Ergo Aviation snip was designed with a reduced handle span, providing lower level of muscle effort required while cutting tough materials. This tool is traditionally used for cutting aluminum, vinyl siding, screening, cardboard, leather, copper and 18-Gauge to 22-Gauge sheet metal. The snip’s serrated cutting edge prevent materials from slipping during use and the slip-resistant, bi-material cushion grip ensures a firm, comfortable grip.

The handle has a good solid comfortable grip that is designed for lefties and righties. The spring mechanism is well designed for a return to open position when you finish your initial cut and those that follow. I would recommend the product the amateur and pro alike.

I bought a pair about a year ago. I work in a plumbing supply warehouse and when cutting through various width of metal straps that hold the pipe together they are great! They cut easy and have a nice grip on them. A tiny part of the grip got scraped off a bit but that’s going to happen when they fall off a forklift. They help make the job get done more quickly and I always have my coworkers asking to borrow them instead of some of the other snips in the warehouse.
