This DeWalt chisel set is nice for the money. They are what they are – bench chisels. They are not precision instruments. I do recommend that if you are going to purchase, and can get to a store with them in-stock, to buy that way. The QA on these is not the best. I had to find a set that has no/minimal edge chipping on the bevels by looking through all of the sets they had on the shelves. Many of the sets has chips/dings on the edges. If you’re going to hone these yourself, then you might not care as much, however for $30, I don’t think those buying these are necessarily the chisel honing type.They are sharp. And they do chisel things. They retail for $10-12 individually, so a full set for $30-ish is nice. Only thing I’d change there is swapping out the smallest size for maybe a 1.25 or 1.5″ chisel. In my opinion that’d have a better value.For the price, it’s a decent set if you’re just doing some general DIY/woodworking projects. If you’re trying to do detailed dovetails, etc. this is not the set for you – and you likely know that. That being said, I’d happily buy again.
