While DeWalt usually makes quality items, and these are fine, I wouldn’t have purchased these if I had known they were made in China first. DeWalt should know better!

I purchased this online as a package deal. The hammer is good, but cannot say it is any better than most other hammers. The chisel set, which I was more interested in, has exceeded my expectations. They were nearly razor sharp out of the box and have yet to need sharpening. They are holding their edge very well and seem to be durable. The hard planting covering is great for storing and keeping the edges free from getting dinged up. I would recommend picking up a set when they go on sale.

It’s a hammer. I specifically bought this hammer due to its size (16 oz) being middle of the road on rip claw type hammers. The smooth face vs milled face was also what I was looking for. I personally prefer the straight claws on a rip style hammer and the extra nail puller comes in handy to try another angle without needing a fulcrum block when doing demo. This hammer is balanced without feeling overly “light”. It has large enough face to strike with.
