This is the largest one that I have. Extremely sharp blade making cuts from your wood projects a breeze. I am by no means a professional wood worker but I do love to create and make things crude crafted. I enjoy the hobby and it is great to have fine tools that perform fantastically and are comfortable and lasting. The carbon steel tempered blade keeps their edge. And are lacquered to keep from corroding. When these became available, I ordered this 2-inch straight wood chisel and also a 3/8 inch and a 3-piece set with various sizes as I wanted a set of chisels I could depend on and love working with. I am not disappointed as these chisels perform beyond my expectations. They are a great product by DeWALT and they back up their product by the Guaranteed Tough Warranty. They belong in every woodshop I highly recommend this chisel for your woodworking needs. Two thumbs up!!

Gets the work done quickly and efficiently! After handling rental property and being the neighborhood DIY person, I have done a lot of woodworking and helped neighbors replace a lot of pressure treated wood mailbox posts. After using the circular saw to make halfway cuts through both pieces of the mailbox post I had been cutting and smoothing out the cuts with a 1” chisel. Now with the 2” DeWalt wood chisel I can do it twice as quickly and do an excellent job smoothing out the bottom of the cut. It serves other purposes in my shop, but this is where it really shines!

We are remodeling our house and have found this tool to give us so many different stress reliefs. We have used it to scrap out dirt out of tile, scrap old wood off of doors, paint off of floors, etc.

i like this chisel a lot because it is wide which gives me a lot of stability when making champfers. I also like this chisel for flatting tenons. It’s wide enough that I can do the final flush cuts with a single pass of this chisel and not have to do multiple. I also like this for flattening the edges of faceframes that didn’t set quite right. I am able to rest the width of the blade over the stile and smooth out the rail. This has held its edge well, although I really haven’t beat on it yet. The back was pretty flat out of the box and only took a small amount of work to get it perfect. The bevel was pretty even as well and also required little work to get it even and have a razors edge. As with the other chisels in this series, the handle is comfortable and does not hurt to work with over a long period of time. Overall, I have been impressed with this chisel. It is a good blade and product without having to spend much much more on the premium chisels

This Dewalt 2″ wood chisel was an ideal tool for my 2 1/4″ wood floor removal. I’m feathering new wood into the old stuff and this made my life so much easier. Cut through 3/4″ red oak floor like butter. Even went through some nails and I didn’t even know. Great product
