This 16 ft. premium tape is ideal for heavy-duty commercial framing and other construction measuring tasks. This tape has been put to the test and features a reinforced housing and cast metal impact plate to absorb shock when dropped. It also includes extensive rubber over-molding to improve grip.

I’ve had this tape measure for quite a while now and love the size, the grip, and the overall quality. The only thing I don’t love is the fact that if you are not wearing gloves and get your finger in the way when it rectracts that you will regret it. It has a strong spring and what looks to be designed in little hooks on the blade tip. These little hooks and the spring tension will “bite” you. I love it, but I use it with caution.

I’m using this tape several times per day. It’s lasting only about 5-6 weeks. Later on the metal tape is getting “flimsy” and typically starts chipping on sides. Stanley is more durable, however 16ft “free stand” is what I need.
