This 25 ft. premium tape is ideal for heavy-duty framing and other construction measuring tasks. This tape has been put to the test and features a reinforced housing and cast metal impact plate to absorb shock when dropped. It also includes extensive rubber over-molding for improved grip.

I grabbed this off the shelf to measure some insulation thicknesses – rather than put it back I decided to buy it. It’s an excellent tape measure that will extend around 10 feet or so without support. Numbers are also easy to read and it has a magnet in the end that comes in very handy!

This tape seems to be holding up well under everyday construction work. The thing I don’t like about it is that you can’t hook the end on something to pull out the tape one-handed. If my left hand is holding something and I need a measurement, I can use my right hand to hook the end of my Stanley on something to pull out the tape for a measurement. The body of the DeWalt tape doesn’t allow it to hook on anything unless you use your other hand to pull it out a little way.
