Very solid, and the ONLY auto retractable 100’ tape out there! Doesn’t retract fast, so no danger of getting cut from the blade. Only one flaw preventing it from being 5-star. It’s heavy, like… really heavy. Good tape, and will last many years.

Eliminates hand winding tape back into the case. Hefty, nearly 2 lbs. short cylinder shape (1-5/8″ x 4-1/4″). Made to be used hooked on your tool belt with a spring loaded split ring clasp. Fat disc shape makes holding it in hand while spooling out tape a bit cumbersome. Spring loaded tape reel retracts nice & easy. Faster than hand winding. A couple of work associates asked where I got it. Home Depot, of course! Took off 1 star for no provision of a hand grip.

These are the same as all the loggers use for measuring saw logs you can tighten the spring and replace the tape if it gets broken I recommend to framers and anyone that needs to pull diagonals to sqaure .

I appraise houses and routinely carry a 35′ for most walls and a compact 100′ manual rewind in my back pocket for longer stretches or barns. I was excited about the idea of a 100′ auto rewind and only carrying one tape. The tape is rather heavy but feels durable. The swivel hook is useless for me, due to the weight and small size of the hook it takes two hands to attach it to your belt loop, and I get the feeling it might break a belt loop. I wish it had a belt clip like retractable tapes. Overall its a good tape, just cumbersome if you are holding anything else.

Very handy for one handed measurements of long surfaces and buildings. Reels up well with no need for winding. I wish it had a little more tension as it sometimes needs to be shaken to assist retracting tape.

This is a Heavy Duty Tape measure all metal construction, easy to clip on your belt and measure without holding the tape in your hand, after your measurement just let go of the tape and it will rewind on its own.
