I got this Dewalt 30′ Tape Measurer and did my best to use it as if I was using it on a real job site. The first thing I noticed was it felt very comfortable in my hand. One thing I did find out is the tape claimed to be able to extend out 13′ without bending. It did not for me, it only extended out to 10′ 3″ before it failed. Although that’s still pretty good.The second thing I noticed was I also found the 30′ tape to be real easy to read due to the almost “Neon” green color of the tape. That was a big plus! The numbers were real easy to see as well. The third thing was the blade lock. I was first, very easy to lock and unlock. It also did a real good job of keeping it locked. The last thing about Dewals new tape was the nice location to fit a lanyard to the tape so it can be fastened to your belt or tool pouch.

This is a very sturdy tape measure. It was reasonably priced and dispenses the tape easily. I needed a bigger tape measure and this was just the answer. I dropped it and there were no issues. I’m sure it’s heavy duty enough to use on bigger projects.

In my tool bag, I keep a DeWalt 16 foot tape measure – it has been a go to as it is small and lightweight and works for 80 percent of my needs. However, every so often I have a job that demands more. This 30 foot tape measure is perfect when a long sturdy reach is needed. It is able to easily span 13 feet and offers precise measurements. I now keep this in my alternate tool bag in my vehicle ready for when the job requires.

I am very pleased with this Dewalt 30 ft tape measure. It’s time to measure roofs and our other outside work for the summer. I was pleased at how the tape stayed rigid while throwing it up a rake and even across the deck. The numbers are easy to read and it stays hooked to wherever you put it. I also did an accidental drop from two stories up and much to my surprise my new tape was unscathed. This is a tape measure that is well thought out in design and materials! Good job guys!
