I bought this tape measure, and use it everyday for milling logs, measuring cants and beams. The tape is accurate to a 1/32nd and has a good rewind and stick out. Doesn’t twist or kink. Like it better then any tape measure I’ve ever used. Get one and you’ll be glad you did!

started using tape a week ago so far its been great in the feel of hand and fits in tape holder on tool belt. the casing feels durable and with rubber grips ,the blade lock works really well, belt hook is built well . far as pulling tape out and garbing tape hook it can be hard to get in first try for hook pushes up flush with bottom of tape case being extra slop at the opening don’t like how that operates to grab hook my big down side for tape. otherwise the blade seems while built and a nice finish for now will have to see how works in a few months and holds up to recoilng back in .the half (1/2″) mark could be little longer to stand out from other markings . really like how hook fits inside j channel and a little top hook to grab material .for know it has been a great tape look forward to seeing how it holds up ,for sure the recoil of the blade

I enjoy the tapes with the easy read measurements better . I had to settle for a 25 footer , cause there wasn’t a 30 footer. I was not to happy about that . I returned my purchase and bought the smaller tape , in cash .

Beefy, snappy, high vis yellow. Does that gets you going? Well this thing measures too! But wait there is more: Diamonds for studs! Lever lock! A stiff tape that extends long enough to tap your buddy on the shoulder from way further than arms reach away! The construction seems to be good enough that you may pass this to Junior, intentionally or otherwise. FIVE STARS! I’m sold!

The 13’ claim for unbending length is a bit overstated. Also this doesn’t work well with sand infiltration, but that’s probably a safe assumption 🙂

Whatever Dewalt did when they designed this, they did it right. Biggest complaint of most tape measures is they don’t stay “stiff” when extending it out. This was stiff out to over 18 feet over uneven, wet ground. Grippy edges and a lock that actually works. Well worth purchasing.

As mentioned in many other reviews, the return spring is a bit weak. When measuring a 15-foot span, I snapped it out and had to fool with it for awhile before the tape snapped back, likely due to the inner roll unfurling at a rate greater than that of the tape being thrown for measurement. Needless to say, I didn’t do that again, and that irks me a bit, because I move faster on framing projects when I can work from one point. Being an engineer, economy of motion is part of my philosophy, and this product might be shelved when I find something better.That being said, the non-glossy tape surface is great in sunny and overcast/dark conditions, gradations are helpful, and lock is faultless. Overall, decent for the price.

Weighs a little less than my 25ft fatmax, average standout on a fat max for me is 10′ 4″, average on the 30ft dewalt is 11′ 5″. Overall a nice tape and I would buy another! I think it will last for a long time

I used this for a project of building a shed. It was great. I could reach 10 feet without it breaking over. It’s a little heavy on the hip but for reaching 30 feet it’s great. Retracts smoothly and easy to read
