The 48 in. I-Beam level offers precision leveling accuracy in a robust and durable design. It features durable block vials, instead of standard vials, that provide leveling accuracy of plus or minus 0.0005 in. and enhanced damage resistance. Each base is designed with V-Grooves for accurate reading on both flat and rounded surfaces and each end cap is constructed with over-molding for enhanced impact protection.

Really like this level as its accurate and feels solid. Can be a bit on the heavy side but that’s what makes it feel solid as compared to some of the cheaper levels made of plastic.

I bought the level twice now, but certainly didn’t have too I just let mine get dirty but it is still plumb. It has a tough durable build quality and design, that can take even the beating from bricklayer treatment. I’ve dropped it from many a scaffold with no qualms. It’s 1/3 the price of Stabila level, and way more durable. I believe this is because of the I beam design. It also has a groove they add in the middle of the level surface, that leaves a void for debris too not throw you off level. The ease of use of this thing is phenomenal, and I see no reason for this not to easily last a lifetime.

Build quality seems to be excellent as you’d expect from DeWalt. The problem is that ALL of the top and bottom edges are rounded so you can’t use it to scribe a line. Even the milled surface is bordered by a rounded edge. The ancient, flimsy I-beam level I replaced with this one had square edges for scribing and I was disappointed to find this one so much less useful.
