I needed a level as I’m doing some home remodeling & there were so many options to choose from, but ultimately I decided to go with the DeWalt 24′ heavy duty, magnetic box beam level as it had so many great features such as it’s lightweight, but still heavy duty made out of quality materials, it doesn’t fall when setting ontop of surface needing to level out, it’s 100% accurate, and most of all it has a rubberized handle grip on the left hand side of level that’s great for grabbing & going without having to lug around a huge level that’s not easy to carry or easy to use!! It also magnetizes to surfaces so it doesn’t slip or fall when you’re trying to level a wall of drywall, or install a self, or anything you need to level, it can even hang upside down too, it’s super light!! The only thing I think is missing that I saw on another brand was LED lights that lit up the florescent level area when a button was pushed for darker areas/corners you’re trying to level out when the room has no power outlet for a work light, or working nights, or some sort of glow in the dark option would be cool too!! Overall, I LOVE this level, I want anothrt one!! Lol

This is a great level. 24 inches of metal. Feels very solid and durable. 3 bubble levels for balancing. I had to knock 1 star for what looks like scratches. Looks like the handling and processing is not smooth since there were nicks and dings on the level.

Solid level. The rubber ends prevent it from sliding when on end. The cutouts first handles make carrying easy and comfortable. I can see myself passing this down to grandkids one day… definitely built to last!

I am beginning to think DeWalt is concerned about the common everyday tools that you use on a job site.This 24” level is a tough monkey. It has a hand hold built right in and makes it easy to hold on to when leveling anything. I also like the idea of strong magnets on one side so when you are working with metal beams or pipe this level gets a grip and won’t let go. The vials with the bubbles in them are larger than normal which makes them very easy to read from almost any angle. The rubber boots on each end help absorb shock from a drop and protects the level. The level is made of a strong metal and it has a hefty feel to it when you are using it. It’s not a light weight tool. It is also wide so you don’t have to do a balancing act to get it to set on the edge of something. It is short enough to fit in the tool bag but not to long when working in a tight space. The only thing that would make this level “more better” would be to add some type of light to the vials so when working in a dimly lighted space you could see the bubbles. I like the feel of the level and the easy to read bubbles in a good light. I don’t know why I hesitated getting this heavy duty tool
