This 3.5 lb 48″ box level is a delight to use. It’s made of beefy aluminum and machined on four sides. so you can use it in any orientation. There are 8 strong button magnets on the bottom and it only needs 4 to support its weight.The center vial housing has a unique design so it can be read equally well in any orientation. If you lay the level on its side you can read the center and end vials to determine level in two directions. You can also scribe a line across the center vial since it’s inset and leaves one machined edge intactThe handgrips are generously sized and have a comfortable lining. The protective end caps are really strong – I can’t imagine being able to damage the level by dropping it on either end.It comes with a lifetime warranty, but I doubt I’ll need it.

We’ve been replacing our old levels predominantly with box type levels and have been very happy so far. This is the first larger level that we’ve replaced and I’m impressed by it’s features. It’s lightweight (especially for a 48″ box level); easy to read, has good magnets, helpful when working on a metal surface, and the ends are rubberized so it “bounces” instead of breaks if you accidentally drop it on an end (which seems to be where I always drop levels). We’ve not had it very long, but it feels very well made and durable.

I have used a level like this before, at work. Today it was my time to purchase mine! Love the magnetic side of this level. Dewalt yellow, it doesn’t blend in with the rest of the stuff at the job site. Large. 4 feet large. I wont get false level readings with this big ol’ level. Really happy with my purchase! You will be too if ya get one. Only drawback is its a little on the expensive side.

I needed a longer than average level for my deck project. When measuring vertical or horizontal this gives very accurate reads and is very easy to see. Great product.
