First off, in fairness, this is a pretty decent hammer and will work swimmingly for some folks. Thats why I’m rating it a 3; middle of the road, great for some, unusable for others. Unfortunately, it has a fatal flaw that prevents me from ever wanting to use it again. It puts out the most horrendous, ear splitting, high pitched noise in use. Almost like a tuning fork at a super high frequency. I’ve used plenty of hammers and none have had this issue. Perhaps if your hearing is less sensitive this wouldn’t be an issue, but I would recommend giving something a few whacks in the store to see if the sound is something you can live with.

Really enjoyed using this hammer. The grip is great, even in the rain and the head is well milled for accurate driving. Not so sure how long the nail pulling notches will last but so far pretty handy. A good trim hammer even with the straight claw as the head is stumpy allowing for access to small areas.

Great general construction hammer. Well balanced and has a solid feel without any funny sounding “pings” while striking a nail head. Easily extrracts nails with great leverage. I have always used fiberglass shaft hammers. This hammers has more power while driving nails, resulting in fewer swings.

I used this hammer to drive some 3/4″ brad nails, 2 1/2″ #8 finish nails and remove some other nails. The face of the hammer is not round and larger combared to my old claw hammer. This larger face made it easier for me to hit the nails. I did when not notice any vibration in my hand or arm when the hammer contacted the wood when the nail was driven flush. Design of the handle was ergonomically friendly so my hand did not get tired holding the hammer. The flatter curvature of the claw was not as effective for removing longer nails. Overall it is a great hammer.

The dewalt hammer is incredible, feels good in hands. The grip is soft rubbery and sturdy. I hammered a nail in wood a few swings without feeling any fatigue. I like the nail and stapler remover on the head. The dewalt yellow color is beautiful the stainless steel head looks sleek. I know I will be swinging hard hit with this baby with ease.

This is a very well balanced and easy to swing under control finish hammer. I think it has an excellent design with 3 spots to pull nails. I’ve used this for finish work and it is lightweight and easy to use . The rubber grip makes it easy to hold and swing.. I believe the price is in line with a top quality hammer.

I really like this Hammer. The grip is very comfortable for my hand and after using it all day my hand and arm are not sore. I think the best feature that I like is the nail puller that is on the side of the hammer. Sometimes its hard to remove a nail in tight areas and with the nail puller on the side it can get into tight places. The second great feature is the improved grip which reduces the fatigue on my arm. Head is balanced for hitting nails or tapping on wood and the grip is easy to hang onto even if hands are dirty. Overall a great design for a hammer.
