I acquired this hammer a few weeks back & not sorry that i got it. I bought the 20 oz because i already have a few 16 oz & wanted to try a larger hammer. Its really ballanced well, i get a nice grip on it,it has the nail starter like other brands. The only flaw I. See is the gap on the claw end is short & the gap is a little wider than I’m use to. Overall I like the hammer & will buy the 24 oz next to try.

This hammer has it all, the grip is great and it has a nail starter. This hammer also has three ways to remove nails, and great for nails in tight spots. Would recommend this hammer over all others.

Had this hammer a couple of weeks now. I really like the way it fits my hand. I also like the magnetic nail hold/starter on the head, no more smashed fingers. I’m currently framing out a basement so I’m use it this hammer on a daily bases. Couldn’t be happier with it.

The first thing I noticed upon picking up the Dewalt 20 oz smooth face hame balance and ease of swinging of this hammer. With the superior balance of this hammer it felt as if I were swing a 16 oz or lighter hammer (which after a long day of swinging can make a large difference on your arm). The side nail puller has the ability to reach places such as corners and tight spaces that you would need a cats paw nail puller. Another wonderful feature is the side nail pullers dual feature for both trim and framing nails. This allows this hammer to lighten the load within my tool belt enhancing my movement and the strain on my back. It is a great hammer.

Nice balance with a very comfortable grip. I especially like the bright “DeWalt Yellow” handle area which makes this hammer easy to spot when there are lots of tools and materials spread around on a project. Another great edition to my hand tool collection. You can NEVER have too many good hammers!!

I used to always previously buy Estwing but decided one day to try one of these newer looking hammers that the other brands have come out with that i always thought were gimmicky. Well i was wrong. I love this thing! 5 star across the board.

No matter what tool I get made by DeWalt I am never disappointed, this hammer is no exception. Hammer drives nails and yanks them out like a champ. I am extremely happy with this product.

Great framing hammer for driving spikes into studs. Solid feel and good grip. No funny sounding “pings” when striking nail heads. Hammer head has a slot on top to help start an overhead nail. Tried this feature and with some more practice I should be able to use this feature with better reliability. Hammer has multiple spots to pull a nail out.

Everyone needs a hammer. If you are looking for the next step in the evolution of the hammer this one is for you. All hammers can drive nails and pull most. This hammer expands what nails can be pulled with the addition of side groves for nails within a 1/2″ to an inch of the wall. It still has the ability to one hand start a nail. This setting system is better than the last hammer I had. I also got the 16oz which is in my picture hanging bag.
