It’s a heavy hammer but it’s supposed to be. The knurled hammer head hits the nail on the head 🙂 I also love the magnetic nail starter that lets you drive a nail while only using one hand. The 2 different sized nail pulling slots on the side of the claw are awesome. They can get into some tight spots that the claw couldn’t.

I don’t know anybody in construction who doesn’t need a wrecking hsmmer. All around beater. Good for nailing and pulling. Enough weight to break open crates and shipping containers. Use to carry a large estwing hammer for this. Not any more! Thanks dewalt for a quality product.

This hammer is well balance and has a comfortable grip for use all day. The large square checkered square face is great for striking nails. The magnet has a strong grip for driving nails in hard to reach places.

I found that this hammer to be balance and easy to use. But the staple and nail puller on the side, I had trouble using it to pull uot staple

I received this hammer via DeWALT’S tool sampler program but Ive purchased several for my crew. I was hearing a lot of tap tap tap tap. Now, I hear tap bang. That’s so much better. Also, the nail pullers(2 sizes) on the side is a great feature. I have to say what I like most of all is the grip. DeWALT doesn’t disappoint.

Over thirty years in the construction industry I have owned many framing hammers. This hammer has it all. I always look for a hammer with a magnetic nail starter, a must for framing. The unique head shape allows for great corner nailing and angle nailing. The grip and side claw is a uge plus. Love it !

Got this framing hammer after losing my last one some time back. Works as expected with minimal vibration and strain. No complaints!

Its a decent hammer, does what it needs to do. Like the side nail pull options, great for tighter spaces. For the 22oz hammer, the handle could be slightly larger or flare more at the end to keep from wanting to slide out of your hand. Someone with larger hands may not like the grip.

After breaking numerous wooden handles on framing hammers I am thrilled to put this hammer to work. The nail starter works great and the side nail puller is a nice feature. It feels good in the hand and is well balanced.

I tested a normal framing hammer and the 22oz DeWalt Framing Hammer with a common 2.5 nail. Each nail was hit with the same pound per pressure once. I found the Dewalt Hammer to have way more power with great distribution. It also had a less sting which was noticeable immediately. I also love the magnetic nail starter and the rip claw. The handle is great and can take the sweat very well causing no slip of the tool. If you are like me “time is money” this hammer will get the job done fast without sacrificing the workmanship or safety. Its a tool that should be in everyone’s tool bag.

I’ve been swing hammers for a long time, this hammer beats them all . Well balanced and less kick backback. I used it on a small framing job at my home for two days and no bum lebow and I’m no spring chicken. When you smack a nail it’s in with two hits, the striking force is amazing. Well done DeWalt!

The weight on this hammer is well thought of. Easy to handle and the grip is not hard on the hands.

I like the hammer and fits well into my hand. I like the Magnetic nail set for driving nails hands free. Having two nail pulls is a plus as well. I wish the Handle was a softer type of material and more pliable. I would also like the tail end of the hammer to be a little bigger so it does not slip out of your hand so easily.

This hammer has a lot of modern features such as a nail puller on the side of the head and a magnetic nail holder on the front but it has the feel of some of the great old framing hammers. It has become my go to hammer.
