If you like camping, this ax is for you! It is made from a single piece of metal, so there will be no vibrations or breaking of the head with rough use. This can easily be used to pound tent stakes in without having to worry about the head coming loose form the handle shaft. The head features machined sccallops to help prevent the blade from getting stuck in wood that you may be chopping. The plastic sheath has a loop to allow you to attach this to your belt.At 20 ounces, this ax well-balanced ax is very capable of delivering hard blows to your work area, whether that be chopping wood or pounding tent stakes. I have used many camper’s axes, and this one is top notch!

Dewalt camper’s axe. Seems to be well made, but I could not find out WHERE. Full steel shaft, 12 ” long, 14.5 ” overall. The handle grips feels good and durable. Some people might use it the way it comes, but I put a file to it. My experience with a file and other axes tells me its good quality steel for a hatchet. Remember, hard steel is brittle steel, and an axe must not be excessively hard. The axe comes with a firm neoprene (?) guard that has a belt loop on the back. The guard is nice, but I consider the belt loop useless as it will only accommodate a belt about 1″ wide. This axe will fill its intended purpose for a LONG time – unless you lose it.

DeWalt Steel Campers Axe item #DWHT1387This is a very nice axe. It has the silicone material wrapping the handle of it giving you a grip that is both comfortable while reducing your hand from sliding. There is also a good quality hard plastic sheath to cover the blade for protection for the blade and of course you when not handling the axe. The sheath also has a built in belt loop that your belt would slip through should you want to carry it around (see pic). It’s called a campers axe but I will be using for severing plant roots when in the spring I will be removing some bushes. The blade has a scalloped cutting edge that they say makes it easier to remove from whatever your cutting (see pic) I would recommend this axe for camping or whatever use you have for an axe.

This is a beautifully made light easy to handle campers axe. It comes with a safety sheath for the blade that is actually part of the holster that connects to your belt. With an easy smooth movement you can remove your steel campers axe from its sheath and have it immediately ready for use. If feels good and is well weighted for all adults and even younger kids. It is sharp and is my new kindling maker, I am very happy with this purchase and plan to add one to each of my rigs. Great buy for a great product.

This is a great little axe. It’s just heavy enough to get the job done but not for you out too soon. It came nice and sharp, which was nice for removing thin slices of wood for foundation posts to an off grid cabin.
