First off, responding to the previous reviewer…the magnetic lock sleeve (or the “pull tire” as it is called on the packaging) is designed to hold the screw to the tip of the screwdriver. If you are trying to fit a screw in a hard-to-reach place, where you can’t use your other hand to hold the screw, the magnetic sleeve allows you to do it one-handed. Place the screw head against the magnetic end of the sleeve, insert the screwdriver from the other end, and there you go.As to the screwdrivers themselves…I recently began restoring antique typewriters, which often means having to remove screws that haven’t been touched in 80 years. This is the only screwdriver set I could find on the mass market with what are known as “hollow ground” tips, which don’t taper from the end as much as regular screwdrivers. This allows the screwdriver to sit flush in the slot and reduces the chances of stripping. Similar screwdrivers are made for gunsmiths but are harder to find and are typically more expensive. The Max Fits also have nice thick easy-to-grip handles and something called a “torsion zone” along the driver shaft, which they claim will reduce slipping. Overall a great set of screwdrivers at a great price, and easily available at most hardware and home stores.

I love these screw drivers, not because of the brand, the color and some other meaningless quality, but because of how incredibly sturdy these are. The rubber grips are specially designed to prevent your hands from slipping and the screw holder is an amazing little invention I had never thought about using, but I’m glad it came along with this set.

Those are quality screwdrivers and truly built for long term use. They look awesome with a sleek design. The screwdrivers fit very well in my hands thanks to a quality grip. They come with a clever magnetized screw-holder. I was skeptical about this gadget at first but it proved to be handy as it allows to hold the screw directly onto the screwdriver. Love this set of screwdrivers. These are my new “Go To” drivers whenever I need a screwdriver. There are two different sized Philips and slotted. Included is an adjustable sleeve that fits over the head of any screw driver when used it reduces or eliminates stripping of the fastener. The tips are magnetized and the rubberized comfort grips are awesome. They feel great in my hand. There is even a line or cross at the handles end so you know which one you are using at a glance. I would enthusiastically recommend these screwdrivers! I had a favorite set of drivers I got about 20 years ago. Since then I’ve bought a few more, but none could displace those old favorites.These finally did.Why? First, they bit the screw heads properly. The drivers have some sort of narrowing on the shaft that is supposed to do something. I’m not sure what, but it doesn’t matter. The drivers grip the screws. The handle feels good. It works.Finally, the little magnetic gadget. I honestly thought I’d throw it away. No! It is very handy! It stays on the driver well and you can move it down to the bottom to get it out the way if necessary. When recently installing a ceiling fan, this gadget was awesome. Keep it, it works!
