This screw driver is strong and ratcheting is good but the built in bit holder sucks. The bits dont go in all the way and if you forve them in they still fall out. I work in a big plant and need a screwdriver I could just carry around but unfortunately since this won’t hold the bits it’s not very helpful for me.

The bit holder in the handle is not very functional. The bits don’t fasten or stay in place. When you open the handle to change one out several of them fall on the floor. Some of the bits don’t fit at all. I suggest that the material used to hold the bits to be more pliable. Maybe a rubber compound opposed to plastic. As a functioning screwdriver it’s very nice. A redesign would change my rating to a five star.

I haven’t had any issues with this driver as some other people have stated. The only thing I don’t like is the main shaft is loose, it hasn’t fallen out on its own, but it’s looser than I’d like. Also I haven’t had any issues with ratcheting mechanism, and I’ve had this tool for six plus months, using it almost all the time. Also the bit storage holds the bits fine, but it’s very firm getting the storage up and down. The direction switch works great for forward and reverse. Besides it’s few faults, I really like this screw driver, makes me wonder why I didn’t get a ratcheting screw driver sooner.

I love the screwdriver itsel. It’s been the best ratcheting driver I’ve ever owned but had to give 3 stars because the bit storage in the handle is terrible. You open to change your bit and the all fall out all over the place. I thought maybe I wasn’t putting them in right but nope,still continues to happen. I now keep them in a ziplock bad so I don’t lose any.

is not up to the quality i was expecting. very rough gearing system and bits do not fit easily into the handle holder. milwaukee makes a much better screwdriver for the same price.

I just purchased the DeWalt Ratcheting screwdriver. I am not mechanically inclined to say the least and I thought I was crazy and too stupid to figure out how to store the tips in the handle until I started reading the reviews. Then I noticed on the package is states (up to 12) and that should have given me a hint. The whole point of the product is to have the tips available in the tool handle while you are working so you do not have to stop and look for them. In addition you have to find a place to store them in another container. Hopefully the screwdriver will last and not have quality issues like other customers have experienced. I feel reassured with the Lifetime Guarantee. If it doesn’t work like it is designed to I can request a replacement under the warranty.
