One of the challenges with hex keys is that they won’t stay out when pressure is placed on them. This locking hex key never slips, it stays straight even with pressure.

Loose “L-style” hex keys are an infuriating mess. Most “pocketknife-style” sets that I have used seemed flimsy and two have broken on me.This one is solid, I could get after it with this little tool. I have put quite a bit of hand-torque to break loose some tight fasteners with no flex or “give” in the tool. I believe this will last me many years.Each end has a recessed push-button release, and your selected key will then lock at 90 or 180 degrees from its nested position while the remaining keys stay tucked away.This comes in two size ranges (small, medium) for both metric and SAE. so depending on your range,you might end up with two or four total by the time you are finished. Metric is by far the most common needed by me.Larger sized, or heavy-duty thread-locked keys would be impact driven.—–Pros:SolidHas enough texture to give my grip purchase so I can put my shoulder to it if need be, like with a light or medium thread-locker adhesiveGood size, fits well in my handDeWALT brandedCons:None noted

purchased because I kept losing the loose hex keys, all my sinks have the up/ down handles, if you use them a lot, the handle gets loose. I had a set of keys, but kept misplacing them. I Love this set, all sizes, keys on both ends of holder, are kept in place by a lock, push lock and pull out size you need, key locks in place and you have a handle to hold the key. push lock button and key goes back in holder. No more lost keys! and holder is large enough that you can’t miss it in a drawer. Great item, and cost was worth the problem of having to buy more when you lost one.
