Had to repair/replace 150′ of barbed wire fence due to a range fire and this tool was invaluable. It lived up to my expectations. The joint/pivot point was stiff at first so I hit it with some gun oil and flexed it a dozen times or so. It worked, loosening it to where I needed it to be. The handle coatings worked well with my leather gloves.

I’m using it to remove fencing from downed posts. Works great; much better than the screwdriver and hammer combo I had been using. Pulls out staples most of the time, and if a staple is really stubborn the built in cutters can snip right through the fence wire so you can keep moving along. I have not yet used this for putting up a fence, but I’m sure it will be really useful.

This tool was bought on-line (w/o being seen first) and picked up at the store. (Very easy and surprisingly quick process.) I was impressed by how substantial it was when I picked it up since for the price I was expecting less. The length is perfect for my purposes, the “hinge” was not at all loose or rough, and the handles are covered in a rubber-type covering which keeps it from slipping out of my hand and cushions it when used as a hammer. I have used it already.and am pleased it doesn’t even show the use. For the price, a “no-brainer” addition to my on-the-go tool kit.

These are the best fencing pliers I have used! It is well machined which allows it to grip staples being removed from old wood posts and cutting both old and new wire. I use it to successfully apply the clips around T posts to secure the barbed wire. Spraying it with Boeshield T-9 has kept them operating smoothly.
