I am an ER Doctor in a busy ER in South and bought this item to use in our ER specifically for Fish Hook injuries. Works like a charm to cut off the barb (we advance the hook through the skin until the barb is exposed), snip off the barb and withdraw the hook following along the path of entrance. I’ve removed fish hooks from all sorts of body areas and I highly recommend it for everyone’s fishing toolkit!
