The DeWalt diagonal cutters are sturdy and seem well made. They were stiff when I first tried them and required some oil and needed to be opened and closed vigorously to get them loosened up enough to use. I haven’t tried them on any thick wire yet. So far they have only been used to cut zip ties.

I m not an eletrician or work in a wire cutting factory. I just buying this plier for home use. Very comfortable handles. It has thick cushion and good weight. I had checked out with other brands but this pair is amazing. I really like it. DeWalt is a very good brand for tools. I also consider Irwin VISE GRIP 6 inch cutter.
