I have Wallside windows in my home, and couldn’t get a few of them to lock. I inverted this clamp so it spreads, (instead of clamps), and made it push up the upper sash while pushing down the lower sash. It worked perfectly.

Used as spreader to replace slings on Tropitone chairs. Got the job done but did slip off a couple of times under tension, which is scary. Stay out of line of fire and wear gloves/safety goggles. Overall was powerful enough and did not bend under a lot of force. Removable pads on clamps did receive minor damage when the slip off occurred. Would be better if removable pads are more securely attached.

We needed a spreader mechanism while putting new fabric into sling-style patio chairs. This clamp allows taking the fixed end off and installing it on the opposite end in order to apply a spreading force. In our application, we were at the point that my hand strength was at the limit of my ability but we managed to accomplish the task. We certainly were using more force than would be needed for clamping a typical woodworking project. I have only replaced one single sling chair and have only owned this tool for a few days, so I cannot speak to long-term experience. I fully expect to finish my other 5 chairs and move on to my brothers 6 chair set. I think this tool was in the $30 class and barring any disappointments, it will be a “win.”

I was building a custom gate and find myself often working alone. These 24” extra large trigger clamps capable of holding up to 600 lbs acted as my helper. I used an air cushion to hold the gate to the height that I wanted. I then used a Dewalt clamp to hold each side of the gate, using the clamp on the right side to pull the gate in, so I get perfect vertical spacing. With these clamps holding the gate in position, I was able to pre-drill the holes for the hinges and fasten my lag bolts. I love how these trigger clamps can be operated with one hand, along with how DEEP the throat depth is, allowing me to grab ahold further down onto objects. Check out my pics below to see these in action. I love using these!

It clamps tight without damaging my wood project. But releases easily when I need it to.

Easy to use & change from clamp to spreader (which I’ve used). Takes a good load without the bar flexing. Only used a couple of times but good so far.

Easy to use, excellent clamping pressure for a lever lock type clamp and easy to release. Like the rubber pads do not damage the wood being clamped. Only issue is that they don’t have any way to set the clamps parallel to a work surface to load parts in parallel.
