I just love the Clamp and it is perfect for several things that I work on. I do have a problem finding things when there are no personnel in the tool section to help finding things.

Was easy enough to use even though it didn’t really come with directions on how to reverse the clamp to a spreader. You have to remove the small clamp piece at the edge by pressing on the side nodules, which releases what looks like small ball bearings in the inner rod chamber and then place it at the opposite end of the rod itself. Simple enough once you figure it out, but be aware that the “stopping feature” that prevents the small clamp piece from slipping off, a little cylinder which sits inside those little holes on the rod itself can get misaligned and will prevent you from slipping that little clamp piece back on. Mine came with it already misaligned and it took me a moment to figure out what was going on, but essentially all you have to do is tap it slightly with something, I used a hammer, so it lines up with the notch’s design of the rod chamber inside the small clamp. Works like a charm after that and it’s strong too. I used it to hold up and lift a corner of an installed wall cabinet that was misaligning itself and leveling off.

DEWALT….This is a great clamp. Better than I expected. This clamp is a Beast it will hold anything in place. The Jaw width and throat depth of 3.75”, the 36”opening, and 600 lbs clamping pressure all reasons why I bought them this clamp converts to a spreader in seconds and the pads prevent marring my work. I use them for medium to large projects. Its reasonable price and ease of use for a large heavy duty clamp like this allows me to have a few of them around my garage/shop

The clamp has a smooth trigger motion and holds tight. First use with it was to assemble a cedar garden box – it made the job very simple. I went with the 600lb clamp since I figured if I’m clamping anything up to 3 ft wide, it’s better to have more force than less. Very pleased with this purchase.
