I bought four of these clamps back in 2018 and they were amazing. Just purchased two more because I need some 36″ clamps and they decided to redesign the pads. Now the pads just fall off with a flick of your fingers. Terrible redesign, go back to what you had before.

My reason for purchase is probably not typical. I got a new soft top for my Jeep Wrangler and the fabric was very tight making it hard to latch closed. I bought this to push between the rollbar and the front of the soft top so I could close it. It works perfectly.

Provided great clamping pressure on larger pieces of wood I biscuit joined together. The handle clamp slides easily to close in the excess space before squeezing the handle to tighten the pressure. Makes the operation of it much easier. I now own four of these.

I have had the clamp about a month and I like the ability to push. It makes this clamp one of the first I take off of my clamp rack. An extension on the clamp so it would clamp objects more than 4″ from an edge would be really nice. If you do start making the smaller clamps with a push ability or a deeper throat extension can I trade my old clamps in for new ones?
