So far I am pretty impressed with this clamp. First it is heavy duty; rated at up to 1000 lbs of clamping force. Don’t know that I can get it to that, but impressive. The bar is heavy enough to not flex on most work being done. One of my favorite things are the easy to grip quad lobe handles. Not like some older clamps that had smooth wooden handles. The 2 ½ inch throat will be fine for most jobs that I do.

I bought 3 of them and would have given them 5 stars, but they were hanging out of the box and zip-tied together by the shipper. Due to the weight, I doubt that any simple cardboard box would have sufficed. Good thing they’re heavy duty steel!! They’re excellent quality and will last many years.

Good clamping power and a gripable turn handle, but pull the rubber feet off the turn handle end and use a block of wood, or they will slide while clamping tight.

Overall these clamps are a great value at this price point. They are very heavy duty, easy to adjust the length, and the handle grip allows you to easily tighten on the work piece. The only drawback is the rubber contact pad on the upper fixed part of the clamp. They were so loose on all 10 clamps I purchased that they slide off when you pick up the clamp. I used super glue to permanently attach them. Now all is good.

I like this product because of the assembly of it. The steel components versus plastic components other clamps have makes me feel like it won’t blow apart under a load. The second thing I like is the fact that it has a true 24″ clamp capacity. Certain other clamps are labeled by the length of the bar, therefore your actual clamping size is only about 21-22″. This clamp is a good addition to your shop or truck, and should stand up to time & use.

functions very well. The small rubber / plastic pad at the clamp point is not fastened and comes off. easy to lose. This was common to all the 3 sizes a total of 6 clamps that I purchased. It is a good value just a minor but seemingly correctable issue.
