These are definitely light duty clamps. I wasn’t paying close attention to the pictures when I bought them. I thought they were clutch-type clamps. Since they are basically just friction-lock clamps, I have to be careful to snug the pads up to the work before turning the handle, otherwise the moveable jaw will slide along the bar. This is not a design flaw; it just means you have to be careful to seat the jaw before applying the screw. My fault for not paying more attention. They are well-made clamps and will suffice for lighter work that I occasionally do.

Bought these because they fit my Husky portable work table which requires a clamp with a 2″ throat depth. They are a bit light weight but they were the only clamps Home Depot had in stock that fit.

Unlike the Bessey, which is same style and capacity, this is much easier to use with the soft grip handle. If you have larger hands you’ll appreciate it since you can’t get you whole to comfortably hold the tiny clamp.
