The variable speed feature is very nice. The saw blade provided wore out rather quickly. It was somewhat difficult to cut a straight 45 degree angle on tubing until you get the hang of it.

I was torn between this one and one of the other brands sold here…I decided on this one for 3 reasons… #1: The Dewalt has an LED worklight on it, #2:The end guards have nice rubber bumpers on them , and #3 the end guards are replaceable if you do somehow damage them….It’s nice that this one has the adjustable front handle to make things a balanced as possible…It’s important to be comfortable so you can actually focus on the cut instead of how you’re holing the tool…. Whent you’re done cutting, it’s got a burly hook on the side so you can hang it on someting… One thing they dont really mention either is that the LED can be switched on or off regardless of blade activity, another plus….One last thing, if you purchase this at Home Depot, it comes WITH the plastic case (read reviews elsewhere to see why that’s important) another huge plus for occasional users!
