This model is much better than the hitachi model that broke after 1year of use.

This is an amazing tool!! I should have gotten it sooner! It is a solid tool and doesn’t jam. Seems to work best at around 100 psi. It has made attaching all of those hurricane ties a breeze and in 20% of the time … or less!!! I just wish that DeWalt sold the nails in a bigger box. I went through so many boxes in a flash. I would recommend this tool to anyone.

The new Dewalt nailer works very well. After using the old paslode version for 15+ years it was great to finally have a lighter, more compact nailer for tight spaces. However, the recoil of the Dewalt nailer into hard LVL material is very noticeable and hard on your wrist because of its much lighter weight than my old heavy paslode nailer. The shorter magazine didn’t seem to slow us down much. You can typically shoot off two hangers with one rack of nails then reload. Overall really like the new Dewalt nailer.

One of the best hanger guns we’ve ever had

Much easier than hand nailing joist hangers.

The nailer worked flawlessly with DeWalt air tool oil, once you get the hang of it it’s a breeze

I have used a Bostich Strap Shot to hang Simpson fasteners before and this DeWalt gun is quieter and seems to fit inbetween the joists better. I like the balanced weight and how it fits in my hand.

This gun is super fast at nailing hagers, after just a couple jobs it already paid for itself. No brainer to own this gun if you do alot of hangers. Ive owned it for about 6 months and its worked great

Don’t know why I waited so long to get one of these, only way to attach metal hangers faster and easier! I would highly recommend it.

It saved hours of hand nailing. Not to mention didn’t hit my fingers one time.

I’m not necessarily what you would consider a DeWalt fan, but this tool is fantastic. I looked at other. Brands but chose DeWalt for quality, reputation, and price. I’m semi retired and haven’t purchased many tools recently so I went with DeWalt. I would recommend this tool over the other 2 mfgs

I normally do roofing but my uncle in law hired me to help build his new house, so I bought this nailer knowing we had a bunch of hangers to install. Within the first two weeks of owning this nailer we ran almost 6,000 nails through it and without any jams or problems. It’s closer to 10,000 Nails now, still works perfect. I love using it, it’s so fast and fun compared to the old hanger nails or screws.

Overall, this nailer works perfectly. A few notes:-This nailer is different from most other pneumatic nailers in that the tip of the nail is exposed out of the tip of the gun. This is to help line up the tip of the nail with the hole in the metal connector itself. Its quite handy in this way. -The nailer does not come with an air fitting, so if you do not have a spare you will need to pick one up when you buy your nailer.-The nailer does not come with any nails. Further, 35 degree metal connector nails are hard to find; especially in small quantities. Since I did not need 10,000 nails, I took a chance and tried the Simpson branded 33 degree nails. They worked perfectly fine and they are sold at HD in packages of 500 for around $16.50 (as of Feb 2016).
