This was a replacement for one that broke. The hinges are made of plastic and not very strong. When you connected to a larger box it is a weak point. However this was considerably cheaper and larger than the new boxes.

First off, I didn’t NEED this set. I’ve got four other sets that pretty much duplicate this one; however, I do have the special cart that holds other Toughsystem products, so in a sense, I did NEED it for that. It was on sale, so how could I go wrong?Everything in the box has the feel of quality; I would highly recommend it for those of you needing a quality set for just about everything most of you would want to do. It’s handy and complete!

This is a great tool set. I bought it for two reasons – the first is that after stripping one too many bolts, I was looking to replace the hodge podge of 12 point sockets I had with a complete set of 6 point sockets. I looked at a lot of sets and this was the only one with all 6 point sockets. In fact, all of the other sets I looked at had only 12 point 1/2″ drive sockets – no 6 point sockets. Considering the whole point of using 1/2″ drive is for the larger higher torque jobs, the last thing I want to be using is 12 point sockets.The second reason I went with this set was for the case. Lots of reviews of other tool sets always seemed to have complaints about the tools not staying in place and the box being flimsy and likely not to last long. A big reason I wanted a tool set was to have everything organized in a single case instead of strewn around. If the case falls apart in a couple years, what’s the point. This case is bomb proof. It is rock solid and everything stays solidly in place. Plus the extra empty tray is great for placing any extra tools I need or in the unlikely event I need to add any other sockets that are not included in this set.
