The ratchet handle feels, and functions, like a nice quality tool should. Smooth operation, directional lever has a nice solid *click* to it. Vey nice.

Tool appears very well made. A bit on the heavy side, but it adds mass to the handle when swinging it back and forth thereby creating more leverage as you quickly spin the nut/bolt. The bigger handle also fits better in large hands. Very nice tool.

I’m not a pro, just a homeowner. That being said, I have 3- 1/4″ ratchets in my tool box: a Craftsman, a carbon fiber from Harbor Freight, and this one. I find myself grabbing this one every time. All three ratchets work pretty much equally, having the pear head design with the push button release, but I just find myself drawn to this one. Might be the heft of the beefy little thing, but probably more how comfortable it feels in my hand. I’ve had it for about a month now and probably used it on 4 or 5 different projects, a few times I’ve leaned on it pretty hard while trying to break loose some rusted bolts on an old swingset I’m rebuilding and it’s held up fine.

This is not the typical round handle design. Its semi rectangular handle with rounded edges spreads out the pressure on your fingers. I can apply a lot of torque to the fastener without feeling the strain I would on a typical round handle ratchet. It has a very smooth swing due to the 72 teeth. Interestingly it’s made in Italy. One thing is for sure it is the most comfortable 3/8 ratchet I’ve ever used.

This is a hefty ratchet, and probably quite nice to use, which I haven’t yet.But read carefully as I did not – It is a 1/4 inch drive, not 3/8, and the handle is quite short at 4″ with an overall length of 5.5″. The specs section says it has a 9″ handle. Not a big deal, but it appears white in the photo. It is the standard chrome tool color.
