I bought this drum set for the use in my garage. I normally buy craftsman tools but this time I thought I would but the dewalt set. I have not used them but assume they will hold up to what dewalt says. I bought the 1/2, 3/8 and 1/4 deep sockets.

The DeWalt 1/2 in. Drive socket set (10-piece) is a very nice set. The ten deep sockets have a very nice locking case that they come in which is labeled by sizes and has a clear yellow lid allowing you to see what’s inside. Carrying case has a handle as well. They are made of chrome vanadium steel and have a lifetime warranty just in case you somehow manage to bend one out of shape.

I like to mention Home Depot’s, DEWALT’s,and Husky’s tool warranty, it can’t be beat.. These sockets have a pretty thick wall so they should handle most of my jobs. They have a very good range of sizes for 1/2 inch drive particularly the small sizes, this set has 7/16 to 1 inch. The package they come in has pretty neat features. If you have others like it they will lock in to each other and stack. If you want you can remove the black holder and put that in your tool box and it still keeps them separate.

I’ve had this socket set for a couple of weeks now, seems to be well made and works fine so far, the only complaint I have is that the sockets are thick wall and will not fit into some tight places (like aftermarket wheel lug nuts).

My experience with Dewalt runs from very good to truly outstanding. This socket set builds on that tradition. Deep 1/2″ SAE, 6-point, 10 pieces from 1″ to 7/16″. What you need for large work that sticks out too far for regular sockets. Over-long bolts, spindles, some farm machinery, etc. Deep sockets are not for every job, but when you need a DEEP socket you really need it. These are beautifully well made, heavy chrome, perfect fit, as you would expect from Dewalt. A pleasure to use. And the price is a great deal just for the sockets!I don’t find the “beauty ring” to be much use. They add eye-sparkle but the wrench-steel is too hard to knurl well. As a “bonus” you get a storage and carry case. It is stunningly large. About 6 times the total size of the sockets! I see Dewalt is using this size case for many of their socket sets. They stack and store and look very impressive on your (and the store’s) shelf. But it seems to wind up a lot of empty space.Despite my doubts on “features”, the sockets are really excellent tools at a very good price.

Usurp this to change store. Fits snug on the 1/2” impact wrench, and stacks great with the 1/2” metric and 3/8 impact deep week sets.
