I bought this set to round out my 1/2″ drive socket collection, which are all DeWalt, and I have been very pleased with the quality/price they offer. I used the largest one on a stuck bolt with a 30″ breaker bar, and if that didn’t break it, probably nothing will. Only minor complaint – corrosion resistance could be a little better; I left one outside in the rain overnight, and there was some slight surface rust starting inside the socket when I wiped it down to put it away the next day. Overall though they are a very good value.

These seem to be very nice quality for the price and come in a great case. Also important to me is that they’re 6 point, which is what I prefer for the heavy sort of jobs you’d use 1/2 drive for.

I like to always start with Home Depot’s Husky tool warranty, it can’t be beat.. These sockets have a pretty thick wall so they should handle most of my jobs. They have a very good range of sizes for 1/2 inch particularly the small sizes: this set goes from 13mm to 24mm The package they come in has pretty neat features. If you have others like it they will lock in to each other and stack. If you want you can remove the black holder and put that in your tool box and it still keeps them separate.

These are very well made, heavy weight, thick walled sockets. While the thick wall speaks to their durability it may also create a problem while working in spaces where there is not a lot of distance between the bolt and the surrounding area (like if the head of the bolt were very close to a corner, etc.).This set comes in a sturdy case and the tray that holds the sockets can be removed but still keeps them organized. While the lid of the case is “transparent”, as mentioned in the overview, it’s a deep orange with the logo covering most of the area where the sockets are stored. That sort of negates the advantage of a “transparent” lid, but you can still make out the sizes of the sockets (if you want to look at them through the lid; most folks just open the lid since you’re probably going to use them anyway).The specifications indicate a Limited Lifetime Warranty, but according to the back of the box it’s a Full Lifetime Warranty. I like DeWalt products and have had good luck with them.

I have been restocking my tool chest and buying small kits to get exactly what I need. This 1/2 deep metric set is great and the price was excellent. Compared to the HF Pitts Pro, Tekton and Craftsman (older USA), these are just as good but the knurling makes them better! They bolw away all the China made Crapsman and Husky that I tossed.

I’ve had this socket set for a couple of weeks now, seems to be well made and works fine so far, the only complaint I have is that the sockets are thick wall and will not fit into some tight places (like aftermarket wheel lug nuts).

Outstanding value! Very well made sockets with superior fit, finish, and chrome. The knurling is a nice touch, especially when your hands are covered in oil. I also like the tapered end on the smaller sizes. I purchased two sets, one for my main tool box and the other for my portable service box, and both sets are holding up nicely. I plan on purchasing a third set for my son tool box. BTY, the storage box is very nice indeed. The box socket tray is removable, so the box can be used for storage of other items you may want protected.
