The tool you never knew you really needed to make work easier. This is the tool you want. We’ve all done it. Run into the one nut that is so inaccessible nothing reaches it. This tool is the one that will get in there. Totally unique design allows a normal closed end wrench to pivot so you can swing around objects that are in the way. Place wrench on a bolt, it will pivot around hoses or any other parts you need to get around to turn the wrench. It’s awesome!

This is not a cheap set of wrenches but then the quality of them is not cheap either. They are very solid and well crafted. I’ve been using Dewalt brand tools a long time now and they’ve stood up well for me. I can see when I lay my hands on these that they are built with the quality I’m used to. And you can’t beat the warranty. How many things do you buy now with a lifetime warranty that says something akin to the “call 1-800-4DEWALT for a replacement” … “no proof of purchase necessary” that you get with these. That is very rare these days. Obviously that is only done when they know it is built to last. You can’t really go wrong with these. Once they are in your box they will be there for many years provided they don’t grow legs.Of course these are great for places where you have a tight fit and can’t swing a regular wrench through a good arc and can’t use a socket. Yep, just the thing where you have a bolt sticking out where even a deep socket won’t quite cut it. It’s a small thing I know but I like the little arrows on them that show at a glance the rotation direction for the way you have it flipped. The markings are deep and clear enough that even with my flagging vision I can see them without my glasses.

I was waiting for a reason to purchase a set of these tools and a plumbing installation provided it. This set is fine for the occasional use that most homeowners, including me, need. I wouldn’t use it to rebuild a car engine since I don’t think it is made for that heavy duty use – if that was my need, I would have spent more money. If you need tools for light duty use, go ahead and get this set; if you need tools for heavy duty use, you should spend more money.

DEWALT Ratcheting Combination Wrench Set (7-Piece) is a handy set to have in the shop. This wrench is new for me as I don’t have any flex head wrench ends in my tool box. It comes with a straight open end and a flex head ratchet on the other side in sizes from 3/8-inch to 3/4-inch. The wrench is heavily chromed, clearly size stamped and the ratchet mechanism is sturdy. It has a smooth feel and the ratchet finely toothed so small movements will advance the mechanism. This set is the standard reversible ratchet that you flip the wrench over to go in the other direction. The head flexes 90-degrees from upright to a right angle on either side. The advantage of a flex head is obvious. I do have a flex head for my socket set and sometimes the long socket gets in the way of turning the bolt. With this set the clearance is much smaller making it easier to work in tight spaces in the engine compartment. DeWalt has their guaranteed tough, life time replacement warranty, if it fails. It comes in a plastic case that I’ve mounted just below my other standard wrenches to keep them secure. This is a quality set as I’ve seen compared with others and a notch above the more widely sold wrench tool sets around.

It is the perfect wrench for what I need. small enough to get into some hard to reach places. Your not going to get the torque that you would get with a larger wrench but for it’s size and wrenching on equipment it is Awesome.
