Picked up this item 7 days ago and use it the next day to remove brake calipers on my car for painting. Love the quality of the sockets and weight of racket handle. Seems sturdy and durable. Despite the description stating “Deep” I knew from the photo that they were regular depth sockets. Perhaps it was obvious to me because I have a couple of actual deep impact sockets purchased, separately. Not to long after using the racket it began to lock up and changing the direction level was impossible without banging it a little to shake it loose. I thought this was a fluke, but it kept happening after removing or tightening bolts. I called Dewalt and they recommended that I return it. I really liked the set so I reordered it, after I saw a credit. I am looking forward to receiving the replacement with the hope that the racket problem was isolated. I would have given it an excellent score across the board had it not been for the issue with the racket. If I experience the same problem with replacement, I will return it.

Compared to a standard wrench, this socket rachet kit made installing truck bed side wall brackets for tonneau cover a cinch. The ease of reversal for perfect alignment particularly helpful. Nicely marked (see photo). Yes, sockets csme with a greasy residue but oiled by manufacturer. Only minor complaint, is black oxide finish wears off (see photo). But that is metal on metal when using socket on bolt. I think for occasional home use, the finish won’t be an issue. Were I to use kit as a professional, I may want polished chrome or gunmetal. Overall very pleased with set including super fast Home Depot shipping- arrived <24 hours!
