The DEWALT 1.25 HP variable speed Compact Router lets you determine the speed you need for the application at hand. A low, contoured grip close to the work surface gives you excellent precision and control, no matter whether you’re making small bevel cuts or large edge profiles. The heavy duty, soft starting motor features full time electronic feedback that maintains motor speed through the cut. A depth-adjustment ring provides controlled bit depth changes to 1/64 in.

Very good product except for the plastic sub-base. Make sure you buy extras because I cannot find a metal one to fit this product. Used mine for 10 minutes and the plastic sub-base broke. Manufacturer surely can do better than this cheap plastic on a great product.

I needed to do some aluminum milling, and the endmill manufacturer highly recommended this router exactly. It cost more than many others, but had better features. The project took a couple hours, with a lot of starting and stopping.The router performed very well, and the extra features were great. The motor is smooth, bearings are quiet. The router was about as loud as I expected it to be. The led lights are bright. Adjusting the depth is simple and quick.I did wish it came with a case, it has a box but a case lasts longer.Great router at a fair price.
