The DEWALT DWS709 miter saw is designed with a powerful 15 Amp, 3800 RPM motor that delivers exceptional power and durability. A tall sliding fence supports crown molding up to 5-1/2 in. nested and base molding up to 4-1/2 in. vertically against the fence while easily sliding out of the way for bevel cuts. This saw features an exclusive back fence design that cuts up to 2 in. x 14 in. dimensional lumbers at 90 degrees and 2 in. x 10 in. at 45 degrees.

So it’s about time I say something about this saw. For the last year or two, the finish team I’ve been working with has been using this particular model for every job we’ve been assigned. To be short, I love this saw. Very robust, very precise out of the box, it has maintained its precision for the time we’ve been using it, and it has held up to everything we’ve done to it. And trust me when I say that this thing has not been treated well! It’s been thrown into the back of work trucks, it’s had stuff fall on top of it in the back of the work trailer when we went to Moab, UT for a job, it has maintained its power that it had from the first day, and overall has been an outstanding tool to use.As for cons, the only issue I’ve ever had with it is when working out in the full sun, and that was only ever an issue because it made it difficult to see the shadow line of the blade. Other than that I have zero complaints about this tool.
