The DEWALT DWS709 miter saw is designed with a powerful 15 Amp, 3800 RPM motor that delivers exceptional power and durability. A tall sliding fence supports crown molding up to 5-1/2 in. nested and base molding up to 4-1/2 in. vertically against the fence while easily sliding out of the way for bevel cuts. This saw features an exclusive back fence design that cuts up to 2 in. x 14 in. dimensional lumbers at 90 degrees and 2 in. x 10 in. at 45 degrees.

I own two of these saws and one single bevel one. The saw is powerful enough to cut through everything from cheap pine to cherry, and with a simple blade change (integrated tool included) even hardie plank on a daily basis. Combine this saw with the portable stand and you have a great combo that holds up to commercial trim work (MDF crown, baseboard, pine etc.) and cabinet work (poplar, pine, maple, alder etc.). Only issue I’ve ever had with one was a set of brushes going bad. 7 minutes and 2 brushes later this saw was back to work. The miter and bevel settings were right on the money out the box and even with daily use hardly ever need adjustments. Dewalt makes great tools for professionals and amateurs alike.

The DeWalt Dual Beval Sliding Miter Saw was perfect for cutting all the angles needed while replacing the decking boards on my deck. It made quick work out of it. I had 90, 45, and 22.5 degree angles to cut. Being able to set the saw up to cut these correctly made the joints look great. I also felt very safe using the saw with the slide action.

It does take up a lot of room, so you need to consider that.Pros; Smooth, accurate, well aligned, large capacity.Cons: Blade is only good for rough carpentry. Will need a new one. Dust collection is horrible. Maybe pulls in 25% of the dust.
