The DW715 12 in. Single-Bevel Compound Miter Saw is powered by a 15 Amp motor to drive 4,000 RPM, delivering extended power and durability. Features stainless steel miter detent plate and cam miter lock that provide repeatable accuracy and durability with easy adjustments. Tall sliding fences support 5-1/2 in. of base molding vertically and 5-1/2 in. of crown molding vertically nested. Lightweight design and built-in carry handle for portability. The DEWALT 12 in. Circular Saw Blade Assortment DW3128P5 has blades that were made of super-hard tungsten carbide for durability. A thin kerf offers ultra-sharp edges and smooth cuts. The blades have computer-balanced plates to decrease vibration, as well as anti-stick rims for improved accuracy and a better finish. Use these blades with miter and table saws, they work great on wood, chip board and plywood.

It does what it’s supposed to. Cuts, bevels and such. The 4 stars given because the dust collector is basically non-existent. The bag is literally hanging there for decorative purposes. For the price you’d figure it pick up SOME dust.

Extremely happy with this purchase. It was easy to setup and adjust. I added a laser and a better blade for a fantastic setup for everything from framing to trim. The locking stops are solid and the blade brakes quickly when you release the trigger. For the money, this is a perfect miter saw.

Bought this miter saw to replace my cedar fence. It performed like a champ! I needed to make many angle cuts due to the slope of my backyard and this saw could do them all. I was able to cross cut a jumbo fence post, 4-1/8×4-1/8 inches actual size in one shot (you just have to move it up about a quarter inch). I look forward to using for future projects. It’s my favorite tool right now.

Over all I am mostly satisfied with the saw. However there area few things that I am dissapointed in Dewalt for changing from the saw I purchased about 15 years ago of the same model. This new saw has a smaller base, smaller table and no board support wings. All better features that resulted in the old saw weighing about 12lbs more and being more stable on the bench. I also don’t understand the safety switch on the trigger. Completely unnecessary as the trigger location alone is a very good safety feature without an annoying little additional safety switch. I would be happier if Dewalt had maintained the old style construction and charged more for the saw instead of making a cheaper version of the saw at the same price as the old one. I have been a diehard Dewalt user for the past 20 years and own more that 15 different tools by Dewalt. But I will look for alternatives if the cheaper construction continues in other tools they manufacture.
