Description
The DWS716 12 in. Double-Bevel Compound Miter Saw is powered by a 15 Amp motor that drives 3,800 RPM to deliver extended power and durability. This saw features a stainless steel miter detent plate with 14 positive stops and cam miter lock system that provides repeatable accuracy and durability with easy adjustments. Tall sliding fences support 6-1/2 in. of base molding vertically and 6-5/8 in. of crown molding vertically nested. High efficiency dust duct is concentrated at the point of cut for maximum collection. Lightweight design and built-in carry handle for portability.

A well thought out tool. I like not dealing with the inaccuracies of a sliding saw. I spent about an hour setting up the stops and indicators, checking the fence for square, etc. Pretty good. One part of the fence is out of square with the table. I’ll attempt to address that at some point, but for now I just compensate where I press on the board. I’m pleasantly surprised. Good tool.

I wanted to get into woodworking and I knew a miter saw was important. I also knew DeWalt was a great brand to go with as DeWalt is what my Dad uses and he never has anything negative to say about it. I’ve had it for about a month.
